OWS practice

A group of about 25 triathletes showed up for the Snake Bite Triathlon open water swim practice.

The course was a 100m out and back, with lifeguards and fellow triathletes manning kayaks for safety. Several in the group had never done OWS in the past, so it was great practice for them to get in the water.

One of the drills simulated a wave start, where everyone lined up and took off at the same time.

Coming back in.

Camraderie afterwards - one of the best things about triathlon.

Some of the group did a bike and/or run afterwards to get a feel for those courses. It was really great training, and it was fun to get to know a few new people. And best of all - no snake bites!
